Dear Brainspotting Community,
We have just over seven months until our conference takes place and the health and safety guidelines and challenges surrounding COVID-19 seem to change every day. Our planning team has had many conversations about the best way to move forward with the conference, and we will continue to do so. Rest assured, we are ABSOLUTELY going to have our International Brainspotting Conference! The only factor still under consideration is how it will look: whether it is an in-person conference, virtual or a hybrid model which would allow some live attendees and some virtual. Our priorities will always be the health, safety, and satisfaction of our attendees and our entire Brainspotting Community.
In addition, the November 3rd U.S. election could potentially change the direction of what the U.S. is doing about COVID-19 as a unified response and as a complete nation. So, we likely will not be able to make any firm decisions about which form the conference will take until soon after the beginning of the year. The final design of the conference will be shaped by governmental and travel regulations and guidance from the scientific community.
Behind the scenes, we are evaluating the details of how each option may look and work. We are essentially designing three separate conference options with the same brilliant and fascinating presentations for you. By doing so, when we can make a solid decision about the final design of the conference, we will be ready.
We are extending the “no risk” cancellation through the end of the year. We really appreciate that those of you already registered are hanging in there with us. David has another “Talking Brainspotting with Dr. David Grand” video in the works, so we will keep the content coming.
If you have questions, please reach out to us at . We also have an FAQ page on our conference website .
Be well and best wishes,
David Grand, Ph.D.
