What is a Hybrid Event?

Hybrid events are simply a mix of in-person and virtual audiences connected through the use of multiple technology solutions.

As we continue to navigate the challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic, we are shifting the traditional in-person 2021 International Brainspotting Conference to a mix of in-person and virtual attendance. This new way of gathering, networking and learning is a great solution that gives our attendees the opportunity to select whether to attend in-person in Denver, Colorado or virtually, based on comfort-level.

  • The 2021 International Brainspotting Conference will not be a standard “Zoom” call.

  • The conference will be a highly produced, well-organized meeting that provides experiences specific to both in-person attendees and virtual attendees.

  • The overall mission of the conference remains the same – to provide education and best practices, allow multiple opportunities for networking and getting to know your diverse and global Brainspotting family, offer sessions led by innovative thought leaders from around the world as well as Keynote messages from esteemed presenters. We will be striving to engage as many attendees as possible, no matter how you are participating.

In-Person Experience vs Virtual Experience

It is our goal to ensure that whether you choose to attend the 2021 International Brainspotting Conference in-person or virtually, you will have an incredible experience and access to fantastic content.

All presentations are going to be recorded. This allows us to give every participant – in-person and virtual – the ability to view ALL presentations following the conference. This is approximately 100 presentations from Brainspotting experts and innovators!

In-Person Attendance

In-person attendance for the conference is dictated by current Colorado Covid-19 guidelines and capacity limitations. Because of the large space we have contracted at Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel, the guidelines currently allow 250 – 300 attendees to attend with proper social distancing and health and safety standards in place. Should the guidelines change over the next few months, we will address those changes as needed. In-person attendance will be first-come first-served and will be offered first to all attendees who are currently registered. In-person attendees will be required to abide by all national and/or international travel requirements such as negative Covid tests, quarantine, etc. We will provide updates on this information as it becomes available.

Virtual Attendance

The sky is the limit for the number of virtual attendees. All that is required for attendance is your confirmed registration and a good internet connection. (It is important that Wi-Fi connectivity is strong and secure to optimize the experience.) We will take care of the rest. It is our goal to ensure that our virtual participants have a great experience, just as you would if you were able to be with us in person. In addition to the Keynote presentations and educational sessions, we will still offer networking opportunities, vendor booth access and some fun.
